The video is amazing and we are going to make “that’s so Matthew Gray Gubler” happen. It’s already happening! Get on board the MGG train.
Following a conversation with 1/2 of the fabulous ticketouttahere I am going to start saying “that’s so Matthew Gray Gubler” (whose buoyant hair and hipster genius character Dr. Reed are some of the musts of Criminal Minds - shaddap!) when something is deliciously random.
The following is soo firmly Matthew Gray Gubler with the exception that I wouldn’t want to be spooning to it the way I would to the sound of MGG’s cute little snores at 3 am in the morning. I love it when people make executive, irrevocable decisions when they are drunk or tripping on shrooms: like celebrating Mandela’s 92nd birthday by planning a duet of Time After Time between Cyndi Lauper and Lil’Kim! It’s not even like nobody else was available - it’s Mandela for crying out loud - what makes this so special is that someone, after a handful of GandTs I gather, thought this would be a good idea. For a moment I wondered if Kim was going to pull a surprise on us, wow us that she had been secretly hiding a voice to rival Mary J’s! Unfortunately for Mandela that was not the case.
My favourite part is when Cyndi tries to heroically make Kim’s presence relevant and starts bleeting “Put Your Lighters up!” as Kim continues to sing. Then Kim starts to purr her rhymes as if Lighters Up were a sweet anthem ala We Are the World rather than a hard-as-nails anthem of neighborhood patriotism of the diss-brooklyn-and-I’ll-pop-a-cap-in-yr-ass variety. Classic.
gloria: can you explain wendy williams to me?
blanche: this is what I know: she’s like the black female Howard Stern. She basically gets on the radio and starts beefs. She’s had beefs with Whitney, Will Smith, Blu Cantrell (where is that bitch?), and Mariah Carey who gave her a shout out in her song Touch My Body (all up in my business like a Wendy interview…IIIII will hunt you dooooowwwn). She’s had a lot of plastic surgery, done time in the ‘hab, and I think she had a special on VH1 once. And now she has a talk show. I think she lives in New Jersey. I probably should be obsessed with her. But i’m not.

blanche: I did not know this but wow am I excited about it: In 2006, Wendy Williams announced that she was in the planning stages of making a movie about her life. Queen of Media was written by Jim Yoakum, with Kimba Henriques. It stars Robin Givens in the lead role of Wendy Williams. Filming wrapped up in late August 2008 and is set to be released in 2009. After Wendy’s talk show premiered, producers thought that the movie needed a different ending, which they filmed August 18. Wendy announced this on her radio show and also said that she wasn’t really sure when it will be out.
Other notable cast members include Angel Lola Luv, Trey Songz, Lil’ Kim, and Chandra ‘Deelishis’ Davis.
gloria: and obsession begins ….. now
